When I was 18 years old, I began to have back problems and always thought that part of the problem was my large breast. I never had the guts to say or do anything so I suffered through the pain. When I was 23, I injured my back at work and my mom suggested a breast reduction. We inquired about Dr.Eckhardt and I went for the consultation. He explained the surgery to me. I decided to have the surgery, knowing that I would always regret it if I didn't. I had the surgery on a Thursday morning, I was so nervous, I nearly fainted before going into the operating room. My surgery went well and I left the hospital the following morning. I was back to work in a week, loving my new look. I no longer have back or shoulder pain and I am much more confident in myself. I went from a large 38DD to a 38C and I have never felt better about myself.

I'm sure you wonder “why would I have this surgery at the age of 73”. There were several reasons. First it was pain, neck and shoulders from past accidents resulting in torn rotation cuffs right and left. Next was the summer rash which usually resulted in yeast infection. Finally it was trying to find a bra that truly gave the support I required. I decided if my current mammogram was clear I would look into having a breast reduction. It was and I did!
The change has been far more beneficial than I anticipated. The reasons for the surgery were all resolved. I am daily amazed (and amused) at my new freedom. I move my arms more freely. I have a bra that is comfortable, supportive and doesn't drag my shoulders down. I can lift with my arms without crushing my body. I can sit on a couch and trim my toe nails in a comfort range. I can wear a button front blouse that stays button and does not gap.
